Metro Centers for Community Advocacy is a domestic violence program that serves survivors of the Greater New Orleans area with advocacy, intervention, empowerment and transformation.
 

What you do

A volunteer advocate will assist with sorting donations, clerical tasks, and the crisis line.
 

What you learn

A student will learn about crisis intervention and the confidential resources that are available to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Preservice Requirements
  1. Background check done by Metro (no cost to student)
  2. Students must have their own transportation in order to serve at the site.
