Metro Centers for Community Advocacy is a domestic violence program that serves survivors of the Greater New Orleans area with advocacy, intervention, empowerment and transformation.

What you do

A volunteer advocate will assist with sorting donations, clerical tasks, and the crisis line.

What you learn

A student will learn about crisis intervention and the confidential resources that are available to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Preservice Requirements
  1. Interview and attendance at on-site orientation session.
  2. Background check done by Metro, is free.
  3. Students must have their own transportation in order to serve at the site.
