Cultivating Youth (CY) is a 501c(3) that works to eliminate childhood trauma, restore healing, reduce obesity, prevent violence, and minimize recidivism in New Orleans youth ages 8-24 through physical activity, therapy, education, mentorship, transportation, and housing.
Students will assist with youth in after school tutoring and other youth development activities to assist in exposing youth to new experiences that inspire positive change.
Students will enhance communication skills, relationship building skills, while gaining insight into the challenges facing youth today. Students will gain understanding of why childhood trauma and obesity are the main barriers that plague our community.
