Taking more than one service learning class?
KEEP TRACK OF YOUR TIME:
To record Service Learning time you must use the digital timesheet to log and document your service learning activity. This includes time you spend at or online with the service site, researching, gathering information, meeting with fellow students or agency representatives, and executing aspects of your service learning. Time should be recorded daily to log the start and end of each service assignment. Completed time logs are due twice per semester at midterm, October 11, and by the final day of class, December 8 for review and verification. Any time submitted after these dates will not be considered for service learning credit. If you have any problems or questions, please reach out right away to ttjasper@loyno.edu.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
By choosing to work with organizations serving marginalized and vulnerable communities, students will develop skills for creating community, leading difficult conversations, and promoting cooperation across difference; and reflect on the cultural context of interfaith efforts, including the role of interfaith (connections and tensions) in social justice efforts and the intersection of race and faith identity.
