The New Neighbor Project offers online and in-person English as a Second Language (ESL) courses to adults. The New Neighbor project provides support to our immigrant neighbors through donation-based ESL classes and citizenship classes, as well as citizenship application assistance and scholarship opportunities to help provide a holistic pathway to citizenship for people in our community.
Help assist/teach ESL courses, help with daily organizational projects within the non-profit, grant research, client communication and community outreach.
We work with the underserved population in New Orleans Westbank and are currently the only provider of ESL classes in the Westbank. Students will be able to work and help teach immigrants and refugees who have come to New Orleans. They will also be able to reach out to members of the community to help provide these much needed services.
