The NET Charter High School serves students who have struggled traditional high school settings. Students at The NET receive wrap around services on their journey to earn a high school diploma.

What you do

Service learning students will provide:
Academic Support: Loyola service learning students will tutor NET students in subjects as needed. Loyola students will work with our teachers and help reinforce classroom lessons. It is essential that service learning students interested in tutoring at The NET have patience and be willing to work in a non-traditional school environment.
College / Career Assistance: Are you a self-starter interested in learning more about the NET's innovative experiential learning & NExT Steps programs? Find out how you can help students in their post-secondary transition doing everything from mock interviews, to resume development, to career exploration and ACT Prep.

What you learn

Learn about alternative education in New Orleans, develop sensitivity and understand how to support educators in differentiating for all levels of instruction.

Preservice Requirements

Service learners must

  • Attend Orientation
  • Pass a Full Background Check with Fingerprinting
  • Interview with staff

Students may serve during the following times:

Students may not serve during standardized testing periods and traditional school holidays.
