KEEP TRACK OF YOUR TIME:
To record Service Learning time you must use the digital timesheet to log and document your service learning activity. This includes time you spend at or online with the service site, researching, gathering information, meeting with fellow students or agency representatives, and executing aspects of your service learning. Time should be recorded daily to log the start and end of each service assignment. Completed time logs are due twice per semester at midterm, October 11, and by the final day of class, December 8 for review and verification. Any time submitted after these dates will not be considered for service learning credit. If you have any problems or questions, please reach out right away to ttjasper@loyno.edu.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
By choosing to work with organizations serving marginalized and vulnerable communities, students will reflect on what they observe and experience regarding those who are “on the margins;” strive to gain understanding of how physical, spiritual, and emotional care-taking may be inflected by constructions of gender and power; observe and reflect on connections and distinctions between the articulated mission and goals of a service organization and its practices.

HOW TO GET STARTED?

  3. Keep track of your hours as you must submit your hours at the end of the semester. You may use the OCELTS service learning timesheet
