KEEP TRACK OF YOUR TIME:
To record Service Learning time you must use the digital timesheet to log and document your service learning activity. This includes time you spend at or online with the service site, researching, gathering information, meetings regarding the project, and executing aspects of your service learning. The timesheet requires a student to enter the start and end time of each service experience as well as a description of the task performed. Completed time logs are due twice per semester at midterm, February 28, and by the final day of class, May 2 for review and verification. Any time submitted after these dates will not be considered for service learning credit. If you have any problems or questions, please reach out right away to ttjasper@loyno.edu.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
Students will better understand how adolescent developmental concepts as well as research on adolescent development discussed in the course apply to real-world settings.

HOW TO GET STARTED?
- Watch the OCELTS "Getting Started with Service Learning" video to understand the SL process.
- Choose at least two agencies to meet with at the SERVE fair.
- Use the How to Excel in Service Learning worksheet to determine your availability for service.
- Secure your placement on time. Submit your acceptance form before the deadline.
- Document all hours (start and end of each service task) using the service learning timesheet. OCELTS regularly monitors time logs and verifies hours with your site twice per semester.
- Know that your agency supervisor will submit a performance evaluation on your work at the end of the semester. This evaluation will go to your professor and be incorporated into your class grade.
